Autonomous Vehicles Laboratory
(AVL)

"An autonomous vehicle system reactively moves and controls payload in a loosely-constrained, dull, dirty, or dangerous environment with significantly greater utility than an equivalent, manned vehicle system."-- Arthur Alexander Reyes, Ph.D.

The AVL researches autonomous vehicle systems and supporting technologies. The AVL also provides UTA students in all majors in all classes with hands-on, team-based, project experience developing autonomous vehicles systems for international collegiate competitions.
